The 10th Handloaders’ Guide is Now Available

The 10th edition of the Handloaders’ Guide is now available for purchase by visiting our supply partner’s website.

The new edition launched at the SSAA Shot Expo in Melbourne which welcomed over 13,000 visitors across the two days. While we weren’t giving away the Handloaders’ Guide for free this year, the extremely generous attitudes of all attendees meant we raised $2,170 for Soldier On; a not-for-profit organisation that supports our troops and first responders who are physically or psychologically injured during their service.

With the new Handloaders’ Guide, the first since 2016, there have been some significant changes. The printed version has had a range of obscure and less popular data removed but it still includes a vast array of the more popular cartridges, as well as a range of new load data, including for APS350 and APS450.

New cartridges that have been added to this edition of the Handloaders’ Guide include:

  • 224 Valkyrie
  • 22 Nosler
  • 24 Nosler
  • 6 x 47mm Lapua
  • 6mm Creedmoor
  • 6.5 x 47mm Lapua
  • 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum
  • 6.5 PRC
  • 300 HAM’R
  • 300 PRC
  • 30 Nosler
  • 33 Nosler
  • 350 Legend
  • 450 Bushmaster

Some of you might ask, why have we made the Handloaders’ Guide smaller? Well, the incremental increase in guide weight over time, combined with significant increases in both postage fees and printing costs has meant that had we left the Handloaders’ Guide the same size it would have been far more expensive to have it delivered.

Rather than produce a more expensive guide, Australian Munitions has produced a Handloaders’ Guide which focuses on providing data for the most widely utilised cartridge types.

Remember though, our ADI World Class Powders & Ammunition website still contains all of the reloading data that is available (http://www.adi-powders.com.au/) and you can visit our list of cartridges that are no longer included in the Handloaders’ Guide by clicking this link.

We look forward to seeing you at the next expo and hope you enjoy the new edition.

Thank you Philip for sharing your experience and for supporting our Australian made products.

The first picture is of a hand draw target where the shots were taken at 100 yards.

The shots in the centre are of Australian Munitions manufactured .223 55gr Blitz Kings with Philip pointing out that these shots “were the 4th, 5th and 6th ever from the rifle. It took only 3 shots to zero. Quite exceptional.”

Philip also shared a screen shot from the HEXTA real time shooting website of the results from a recent competition at his clubs range.

The photo captures a 10 round group using .223 REM 69gr Sierra MatchKing. This ammunition is perfect for competitive shooting.

He was able to achieve a group size of 89.9mm at 300 yards.

“You are all producing a seriously good product. Congratulations.”

If you would like to share your experience we would love to hear from you.

Our ammo and propellants were hot sellers and there was a lot of interest in the first of the Australian Pistol and Shotgun (APS) samples – APS350 and APS450 – from the new propellant facility.
